Chiedza Nwakudu is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who provides assessments, diagnosis and medication management to patients. With more than 17 years of clinical experience, Nwakudu delivers high-quality, patient-centric care across the patient lifespan.
She began her career as a registered nurse and has served in a variety of clinical settings, including surgery and intensive care units, home health settings, and telehealth. Nwakudu was an assistant professor at Indiana Wesleyan University, instructing core undergraduate nursing courses. She believes that how you tell your story and express your feelings and emotions is what matters and is committed to helping patients achieve wellness through collaborative treatment and, when necessary, evidence-based medications. Nwakudu’s goal is to help patients feel better as quickly as possible.
She earned a psychiatric mental health NP certificate from Lewis University and was awarded a doctor of nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She received a master’s degree in nursing from Rush University. When she’s not treating patients, Nwakudu enjoys cooking and traveling.
