Pana, IL – Pana Community Hospital is proud to announce a strong start to 2025 with the addition of several new healthcare providers to its growing Specialty Clinic. These new specialists bring expanded access to essential services in general surgery, cardiology, urology, and mental health—furthering the hospital’s mission to provide high-quality, compassionate care close to home.
“As we welcome more expert providers to our Specialty Clinic, we’re making it easier for patients in our region to receive the care they need, without the burden of traveling far from home,” said Trina Casner, President and CEO of Pana Community Hospital.
New providers joining the Specialty Clinic in 2025 include:
- Dr. Robin Riley and Dr. Albert Gilman, General Surgeons from Memorial Health
- Dr. Muhammad Khan, Dr. Jha Saurabh, and Dr. Nileshkumar Patel, Cardiologists from Springfield Clinic as well as Dr. Salem Bader, Cardiologist from Prairie Cardiovascular
- Chandra Marlin, NP, Urology Nurse Practitioner with Pana Community Hospital
- Chiedza Nwakudu, DNP, ANP-BC, PMHNP-BC, Telehealth Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Dr. Evelena Ontiveros, Oncologist from Cancer Care Specialist of Illinois
As the Specialty Clinic continues to grow, so does the need for more space to accommodate these new providers and to ensure patients receive timely, high-quality care in a comfortable setting. To meet this demand, Pana Community Hospital has added an expansion unit that offers additional office and exam room space.
“With an increasing number of specialists offering services, our current clinic spaces had reached capacity,” Casner said. “This new unit allows us to expand access to specialized care without delays or overcrowding.”
The expansion unit is fully equipped with functional exam rooms and office areas, providing a modern, efficient, and welcoming environment for both patients and providers. This investment reflects the hospital’s continued commitment to enhancing healthcare services for Pana and the surrounding communities.
