Job Title: Maintenance Tech II

Salary Range: $24.60 - $31.98/hour (Based on Experience)
Description:
Pana Community Hospital is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician II to maintain the hospital’s facilities, grounds, equipment, and utility systems. Responsibilities include general maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, boilers, carpentry, painting, and mechanics; preventative maintenance and inspections; troubleshooting hospital and patient care equipment; and maintaining building automation, fire, and safety systems. The position requires the ability to work independently, respond to emergencies, follow safety and regulatory procedures, and work varying hours, including 24-hour emergency call as needed.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Previous food service experience preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to interact courteously and professionally with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital staff.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and assist coworkers as needed.

Ability to follow established food service, sanitation, infection control, safety, and hospital policies.

Ability to assist with patient meal service and tray-line operations.

Ability to properly clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, equipment, and work areas.

Ability to assist with catering and homebound meal program activities.

Ability to maintain and properly store department supplies and equipment.

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with hospital policies.

Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional when handling stressful or changing situations.

Dependable and punctual with the ability to complete assigned duties accurately and in a timely manner.

Willingness to participate in required training, educational programs, and in-service meetings.

Ability to adapt to changing departmental needs and assist in other areas when needed.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform duties requiring reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.

Ability to work around cleaning agents and chemicals and in an environment where latex exposure may occur.
