Description: Pana Community Hospital Emergency Department is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in providing high - quality care to our patients, ensuring they receive prompt and efficient medical attention.
Requirements:

Prior experience in an emergency room or acute care setting preferred.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Proficiency in basic medical procedures and patient care.

Current nursing license in the State of Illinois, Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.

Current CPR, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain

Certified in medication administration (per licensure)

Willing to work flexible, alternate and/or additional shifts if warranted.

Knowledge of trends in practical nursing, practice as demonstrated by current competence.

Attends (or shows proof of prior expertise) an IV start class within 1 month of employment.

Becomes proficient at doing 12 lead EKGs within 1 month of employment.

Communication and public relations skills to interact with patients and families.

Skills to learn and manage the patient registration process.

Computer and Telephone skills required.

Calculator, printer, fax, scanner, copier skills required.

Good organizational skills are required.
