Laboratory testing is essential to providing high quality patient care. The results from lab tests allow physicians to detect disease earlier, plan appropriate treatments, and monitor results.

Pana Community Hospital’s Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the art analyzers and technology, providing a full service laboratory offering a broad range of routine and specialty services for both inpatient and outpatient medical care.

The Laboratory is comprised of a team of skilled and experienced professionals who are committed to providing the highest quality of care to our surrounding communities. The laboratory is fully staffed with registered Medical Technologists and certified Phlebotomy Technicians, under the direction of Michael Choi, MD, consulting pathologist with KMB Service Corporation.

The laboratory is open for outpatient services from 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday and from 7:00am to 12:00pm Saturday. Testing is performed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide rapid turnaround time and allow for more accurate diagnosis by your physician. Laboratory orders are accepted from any local or out-of-area physician.

Pana Community Hospital’s Laboratory Department is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and holds a CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) License under the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
