The Diagnostic Imaging Department at Pana Community Hospital makes a difference in the lives of patients and their families by providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient diagnostic and interventional services.
We have the equipment and technology to provide every available form of imaging service, with schedules that can accommodate your busy lifestyle. Pana Community Hospital is committed to continually purchase the latest technologies in imaging services. We have the following services available:
* computed tomography (CT)
* magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
* mammography with enhanced 3D imaging
* ultrasound
* nuclear medicine (which includes Myocardioal Perfusion studies, ie stress testing of the heart)
* dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) bone density
* interventional services (which include breast biopsies, prostate biopsies and joint injections for pain relief)
* general x-ray services
All of our imaging procedures create digital images. Your images are available right away through our picture-archiving communication system (PACS), which helps all the members of your health care team work together to diagnose and treat your condition as quickly as possible.
Your exam is performed by highly trained and experienced technologists who are registered by the credentialing board associated with each imaging type. In addition, your results are interpreted by board-certified radiologists, Clinical Radiologists, S.C., an independent radiology group contracted by Pana Community Hospital. These skilled radiology professionals know how to effectively evaluate the detailed images. They help detect the abnormal patterns that indicate illness and can monitor the progression of illness or changes in your condition. The Diagnostic Imaging Department is open for outpatient services from 7:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday. Saturday hours are 7:00am-12:00pm for general x-ray services. Mammogram appointments may be made from 7:00am-8:00pm Monday-Friday to accommodate our patient busy schedules.
