Volley for Cure Raises $1,100

The annual Volley for the Cure took place Monday, October 15 at Pana High School.  Panther volleyball took on the Taylorville Tornadoes.  Both teams wore pink and fans donated to the cause at the door in lieu of admission to the game.  Proceeds from the door reached $900 while an additional $200 was raised from t-shirt sale raising a total of $1,100 for the cause!  Procedes from the event benefited Pana Community Hospital Foundation Breast Care Services.

Pana Community Hospital Foundation Executive Director Kim Rodgers said:  “We would like to sincerely thank PHS administration, the volleyball coaching staff, the Pana and Taylorville volleyball teams, and everyone who gave generously to Volley for the Cure.”  Pana has hosted Volley for the Cure since 2007.
