Foundation Golf Outing Raises $20,000

August 24th, 2017

The Pana Community Hospital Foundation’s 24th Annual Golf Outing at Oak Terrace Resort of Pana raised over $20,000 and featured the largest number of participants, with 33 teams playing in the 18-hole golf scramble.  Funds raised will go towards the Foundation’s Capital Campaign for the hospital’s expansion and renovation project.  The Foundation Board of Directors has set a goal of $1.5 million to be raised over the next 2 years.  This campaign will offset costs of the $20.1 million building project which will add over 30,000 square feet to the existing hospital.

The winning team included Derek Ade, Mitch Ade, Bryan Bender and Austin Cearlock.  Second place team winners were Trina Casner, Tim Casner, Drew Casner and Bryce Fortner.  The third place team was James Moon, Leigh Moon, Dylan Moon and Kody Bland.

Proximity winners were:  closest second shot on hole #12, Team Ade; longest putt on hole #18, Jim Klein; closest to the pin on hole #5, Mike Braverman; and ladies longest drive on holes #10 and #6, Gayle McRoberts.

Major Sponsors were Carle Foundation Hospital, Consolidated Communications, Dr. Alan Frigy, O’Shea Builders, Precise Specialties, Burdick Plumbing and Heating, Crossroads Emergency Physicians, Drs. Terry and Laurie Cunnington, Peoples Bank and Trust and Siegert Lees Insurance.  County market sponsored the pre-round lunch.

Kim Rodgers, Foundation Executive Director, stated;  “What a great way to kick off our fundraising for the PCH Building Project Capital Campaign!  Special thanks to our golfers, sponsors and volunteers for making this event a success.”

The Capital Campaign will continue throughout the building project.  Those wanting to help us reach our goal can contact the Foundation office at 562-6340 or donate online at:   give.panahospital.com.
