Quad County Vets Honored

Quad County Veteran Volunteers and staff traveled to the Illiana Hospice-Veteran Partnership Annual Meeting on Thurs. May 16th at the Bremer Center on the campus of the Community College in Danville. Quad County participated in several sessions including Virtual Honor Flight, VA Caregiver Support Program, VA 101, Grief & Bereavement and tours of the college campus. Quad County Volunteer Coordinator Rachael Springate spoke to the group about the steps taken by Quad County to attain a Level 4 Star Rating. Quad County is one in four organizations in the combined Illinois-Indiana district to have reached this highest level of Veteran Care. The Quad County Veteran Volunteers “Presented the Colors” and were pinned by the Danville VA for their dedication and service to our County, receiving a standing ovation. Veterans participating in the event were: Danny Eck, Gary Shuck, Jack Moss, Joe Marley, Michael Parker, Mickey Clemons, Richard Simms, Rickey Reed, Roger Swim, Ron Morrell, Beverly Walker, Earl Baker and Kevin Kennedy.
