Pana Community Hospital announces that applications are currently being accepted for the Robert L. “Bob” Broverman Scholarship, Auxiliary Scholarship, and the Harold & Grace Brown Memorial Scholarship.

The Robert L. Broverman Scholarship was created by retired Circuit Judge Robert L. “Bob” Broverman of Shelbyville to be used for graduating seniors who live within the Pana Community Hospital service area-which includes Pana, Assumption, Ramsey, Nokomis, and Cowden students.  Applicants must be seeking an education in a medical related field.  The Robert L. Broverman scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $5,000.

The Brown Scholarship was created in memory of Harold and Grace Brown to assist students who are pursuing an education in a medical field.  Any area high school senior or student currently attending college seeking a degree in a health care field that resides within the hospital’s service area may apply.  The scholarship trust is administered by Peoples Bank & Trust of Pana.

The Pana Community Hospital Auxiliary has set up a scholarship fund to be awarded to a graduating Pana High School senior and is seeking an education in a medical related field.  The recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship ($500 each semester).

For more information about these scholarships or to obtain an application, please contact Luann Funk at Pana Community Hospital 562-2131 ext. 313 or an area high school guidance office.  Applications for the Harold & Grace Brown Scholarship are also available at and can be turned in to Peoples Bank & Trust of Pana.
