Over $3600 Raised from Marathon Run

April 26th, 2018

The Boston Marathon brought cold temperatures, pouring rain and gusty winds; but that didn’t deter Chad Sutton of Endurance Capital from completing the race with a time of 2 hours 47 minutes.  His run in the marathon also helped raise money for the Pana Community Hospital Building project.  Donations from customers, community members, and local business were collected in the weeks prior to the April 16 race in Boston.  With matching funds from Endurance Capital, the amount raised for the PCH Building Project totaled $3615.

This donation brings the Building Project fundraiser closer to the $600,000 level.  To date, nearly 590,000 of the $1.5 million capital campaign has been raised through generous donations and fundraising activities lead by the PCH Foundation Board of Directors and the Capital Campaign Steering Committee.  “We are very grateful to Chad and his generous support of our building project.  His determination to complete the marathon was an inspiration to us all,” stated Kim Pollman, Executive Director of the PCH Foundation.

The $20.1 million building project is well underway, with the Patient Services addition in the back of the hospital nearing completion of the outside steel structure.  Interior work is pushing ahead full steam with walls, duct work and electrical being installed.  Parking areas are also being poured on the west side of the hospital.

Donations to the PCH Building Project can be made at anytime by contacting the Foundation office at 217-562-6340 or by donating online at give.panahospital.com.
