Grief Support Group Begins Fall Session

August 23rd, 2018

“Embrace” the Quad County Home Health & Hospice Grief Support Group will begin its Fall session on Thurs. Sept. 6th 6:30 pm at the Quad County building located next to Pana Community Hospital at 8 Huber St.   This is the 3rd year for the “Embrace” Grief Support Group with an average of 15 people attending coming from Pana, Tower Hill, Ramsey, Herrick and Shelbyville.   The group meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.   Janet Hicks and Kathy Culberson are the facilitators of “Embrace” and welcome people of all ages to attend.    Janet Hicks emphases; “People can just come and see what Embrace is about.  I think they will be amazed at how comfortable we are with each other and of course confidentially is at the fore front.   We support each other and we are healing each other through our conversation and personal experiences.   People participate at different levels according to what is comfortable for them.  If someone wants to just come and listen, that’s fine.  If you are a talker, then that is fine too.”      Refreshments are provided at each meeting on behalf of Pana Community Hospital.    For questions or more information regarding “Embrace”, call Rachael Springate, Volunteer Coordinator or Carol Chandler, Director of Business Development at (217) 562-6380.
